Dr. Sanne Klompe and PhD Advisor Dr. Sam Sternberg Celebrate Clean Sweep of Graduate Student Awards

Dr. Sanne Klompe and her PhD advisor Dr. Sam Sternberg have cause for celebration, as Klompe has completed a remarkable clean sweep of graduate student awards. Following her receipt of both the Weintraub Award and the RNA Society Young Investigator Award in 2022, Klompe has now been awarded the Dean's award for her outstanding PhD thesis.
The Dean's award is the highest honor bestowed to PhD students at CUIMC that recognizes exceptional scholarship, innovation, and impact on basic research. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics congratulates Sanne for a spectacular PhD thesis, and Sam for exemplary mentorship.
